Welcome to Reykjavik.Another dawn has come, as so many before it, cradled in the arms of a winter's frigid chill. Ghosts of the past echo here, their songs forlorn and searching, singing of a time long ago, when life bloomed in the light of prosperity. A time when Reykjavik seemed to be a crossroad between places far and away. But then the clouds of change blackened the sun's potent rage, and the land we once knew and loved dipped into a time of lonesome darkness. The few souls who stirred here where reclusive and silent. The once vast number of herds diminished to mere individuals who eventually ventured into the night never to return. The stars have shifted yet again, the winds of change stir ever so slightly. Perhaps the age of legends has not yet succumbed to death. The ice bridges are reforming, the land has begun to slip out of it's shadows where light shines once more. Outsiders again have access to these slopes where sagas were born so very long ago. Life will always find a way, it is time for Reykjavik to awaken again.

Reykjavik is a play by post semi-realistic equine rpg for intermediate to advanced roleplayers though we have always strived to bring in the dedicated beginners who show true interest in advancing their skills. Reykjavik and games like it are a dieing breed. There is no magic here, no mystifying powers. There is only the beauty of nature and the awesome creatures who were born to run headlong into the wind as if to defy gravity. Reykjavik was born in a time that seems so very different than today's RPG community, but it refuses to die, I refuse to let it die. We seek members new and old, and hope greatly to see some old but never forgotten faces that made Rey the amazing place it was over the years.
